Bon Goût was first opened as a combination
of Japanese bookstore and a cafe serving Japanese drinks and
food since December 1997. You might have remembered our shop at UE
Square.
We were the first second-hand Japanese bookstore
in Singapore, and since our opening, many people have enjoyed
our dual-themed style. In the year 2000, we have relocated
the whole store to The Robertson Quay, our present location.
It is a sunny & cozy space by the riverside. This quiet
spot overlooking the river is perfect for catching up on reading
while dining on affordable, homestyle Japanese food. The daily
set meals are selected from 400 recipes created by the shop
owner, Setsuko Sekine. Floor-to-ceiling racks display colourful
book spines and serve as a backdrop to the dark, wood furnishings.
Sit at the bar to enjoy your freshly brewed coffee or settle
in the snug chairs by the magazine section.
Come and enjoy our freshly brewed coffee
or daily special menu with all the Japanese books/magazines
and Manga (comic books) at the lowest market price.
